TRADITIONAL POTLUCK DINNERS

The BPIA traditionally hosts activities and potluck dinners at the BPIA Community Hall in June, July and August. Activities are open to the public.  Attendees are encouraged to bring families and visiting guests, and a dish to share for eight to ten people.  Some dinners include social time with no program, others include a presentation or activity. Can’t bring a dish to share? Join us anyway! We value your company.  Potlucks begin at 6:00 pm, so don’t be late!

June 7:  B-I-N-G-O  Bring a small item to be a prize for winners, and take home a prize yourself!  Our summer bingo is an always-popular summer tradition.

June 14:  90-second Show-and-Tell  Bring a special object, or a short story, to share with the group.  You’ll have 90-seconds (more or less) to present as we entertain each other with our unique stories.

«««««June 21:  Picnic at the Pavilion  This week’s Bring Your Own Dinner will be held at the Pavilion.  Come chat with your neighbors and enjoy this beautiful building.

June 28:  Game Night  Uno, Monopoly, Catan, Scrabble—bring a game you enjoy or come and play an old favorite.  The more the merrier, so bring a neighbor and a friend!

July 5:  No Potluck.  Enjoy the holiday weekend!

July 12: America!  Following our Independence Day, let’s celebrate the rest of the Americas.  What are your favorite dishes inspired by Canada, Mexico, Central and South America?  Don & Arlene Lang will talk about their time in Mexico.

July 19:  Buffalo Bill Rides Again  Steve Friesen, retired director of Golden’s Buffalo Bill Museum and author of Buffalo Bill:  Scout, Showman, Visionary; Lakota Performers in Europe; and Galloping Gourmet:  Eating and Drinking with Buffalo Bill will speak to us about this leading character in Western history.  Bring cash or check to buy Steve’s books!

July 26:  Staunton State Park  Park rangers will tell us about this local treasure.

August 2:  Pine Library Assn Annual Meeting & Presentation  Bring a dish inspired by one of your favorite books.

August 9:  Outdoor Lab  A Jefferson County rite of passage. Since 1957, this program has provided week-long residential camp experiences in the mountains for thousands of Jeffco 6th graders.  And it’s right in our backyard!

August 16:  Childhood Favorite Bring one of your favorites from when you were little.

August 23: Annual Meeting & Dinner This evening’s meal is provided by the BPIA, so you do not need to bring a dish.  After the dinner, we’ll hold our annual meeting.  All members are encouraged to attend.  Friends are welcome too!

August 30:  Farewell to Summer  School is back in session, and our normal weekly activities are resuming.  Join your neighbors for one last dinner together until we gather again in June 2026.
